A Latina friend of mine gave me a similar recipe to this one years ago and since then I have made a few changes here or there.. first I use sugar, sodium and calorie free lime seltzer to cut back which makes these babies “skinnier”. Second, I don’t use any orange juice or added sugar but you can totally add some if you enjoy it. I have a jar of agave on hand in case I ever want to make these sweeter, but in my opinion the limeade has enough sweetness to it!
You can use any tequila you’d like, but I prefer a clear tequila. Personally, I’ve been enjoying the brand Casamigos which was co-founded by George Clooney. It’s a little pricier but it’s smooth and won’t leave you with a headache, unless of course you over-do it on the margs! This refreshing drink pairs nicely with the quesadillas from last week's post, and the fish tacos from a few weeks ago! Head to the home page to find those links.
Margaritas seem to be my go-to during the warmer months. I love getting them while out to dinner, but this easy recipe is a quick way to whip them up at home. The pitcher will give you quite a few glasses- best to share with friends on your deck! Cheers!

Ingredients:
- 1 can frozen limeade
- 1 can of tequila (use empty limeade can)
- 1 corona (or 2 if you’re feeling frisky!)
- 1 liter of lime seltzer water (Polar beverages if you're local to Massachusetts!)
- 2 fresh limes, 1 halved, 1 cut into wedges
Directions:
1. Combine limeade, tequila, corona, and seltzer water in a large pitcher. Pour carbonated beverages slowly.
2. Using a citrus squeezer, squeeze the halves of 1 lime into pitcher.
3. Stir all ingredients with a wooden spoon, slowly.
4. Pour over ice and garnish with lime wedge.
